Sira software can utilize multiple CT/MRI scans to simulate 3D models of body structure by MergeCube®. The applications include educating medical students and surgery planning. It can be downloaded from the AppleStore. 

Sira Software

Sira Software is a platform that has 3D reconstruction and image processing functions that could allow clinicians or students to more intuitively convert CT or MRI images of body structures into a 3D hologram.

MergeCube®

Merge Cube is a small black and silver physical cube. It has special inlaid designs that could interact with our Sira Software to transform the cube into a digital canvas. This enables you to hold digital 3D objects on hand. 

Current Challenge

The current challenge is that we need to improve the medical accuracy and precision of this 3D model so that it can be truly used in medicine by clinicians.

Our Job

Our Project purpose will be collaboratively working with SiraMedical to test the platform, Sira Software, that can allow clinicians to visualize 3D holograms by multiple MRI and CT scans.

Design Flow Chart

1. We will use PLA material to 3D print the CT or MRI quality control phantom.

2. We will use a digital caliper to measure the different components of the phantom model and record the data.

3. After that, we will use CT or MRI to scan the phantom 

 

4. We will convert the scans into a 3D hologram by our IOS software.

5. We will use the software’s in-built functions to measure the various parts of the holograms.

6. Finally, after obtaining all the physical measured data from the phantom and software measured data from the 3D model, we will analyze and compare the two sets of data to test the efficiency and accuracy of our software.
